December 3, 2014 | Salt Lake City, Utah – ReposiTrak, the leading provider of Compliance Management and Track & Trace solutions for food safety exclusively endorsed by FMI and ROFDA, is now being used by Field’s Pies Inc., an Oklahoma-based, top 10 U.S. frozen pie baker best known for their pecan pies. Field’s Pies uses ReposiTrak’s Compliance Management system to share their food safety documents downstream with their ROFDA wholesale customers. They are also using ReposiTrak’s Track & Trace system to track the source of their ingredients through production planning.
“We at Field’s Pies recognize the need for complete transparency from farm to shelf.” said Libby Griffith, Quality Manager. “We are pleased to work with the industry standard food safety solution, ReposiTrak to track the source of our ingredients through pie production, and to ensure we are in compliance with our wholesale customers’ record requirements.”
Powered by Park City Group’s technology, the ReposiTrak platform helps manage regulatory, financial and brand risk associated with issues of food safety in the global food supply chain. The platform consists of two systems. The Compliance Management system not only receives, stores, and shares documentation, but also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing or expired documents. The Track & Trace system quickly identifies the supply chain path taken by a product in the unfortunate event of a product recall. It can reduce the risk in the supply chain by identifying backward chaining sources and forward chaining recipients of products in near real time.
“We are very excited that Field’s Pies recognizes the need to manage their food safety risk not only with their ROFDA wholesale customers, but also within their own supply chain,” said Randall K. Fields, chairman & CEO of Park City Group. “With FSMA finalization beginning in August 2015, and legal responsibility falling to senior executives, we expect to see the adoption of ReposiTrak continue to increase.
