July 13, 2016 | Salt Lake City, Utah – Park City Group’s ReposiTrak®, the leading provider of Compliance Management and Track & Trace solutions for food, pharma and dietary supplement safety, announces today that Florida-based Seald Sweet International is expanding their use of ReposiTrak’s Compliance Management System.
Seald Sweet, originally founded in 1909 as a grower-owned cooperative and Florida’s oldest and largest fresh citrus marketing company, is a leading supplier in the year-round citrus category and a large supplier of deciduous fruit such as grapes, apples, and pears, through their global network of companies and partners. Since joining the UNIVEG Group in 1998, Seald Sweet has grown into a global source for year-round fresh fruit. In June of 2015 Seald Sweet and UNIVEG merged with Greenyard, making the group the largest fruit and vegetable supplier worldwide, with divisions in fresh, frozen, canned and growing media sectors.
Recently Greenyard announced its expansion of its northeast US operations and the development of a new state-of-the-art fresh produce distribution facility in Swedesboro, New Jersey. Seald Sweet’s northeast sales operations will relocate to the new facility upon its opening in February 2017. Expanding use of the ReposiTrak system to collect and manage foreign supplier documentation and verify compliance enables Seald Sweet to evolve with the FSMA rules as they are finalized and augments their robust food safety protocols already in place.
“Food Safety is of critical importance to our company,” said Mayda Sotomayor, Seald Sweet’s CEO. “As our company continues to grow, it is imperative that our infrastructure and management systems ensure we are in compliance with all FSMA regulations as it pertains directly to Food Safety and traceability.”
“We needed an automated system that would enable us to better manage required documentation from our domestic and international suppliers, now that FSMA’s Foreign Supplier Verification Program has been finalized,” said Carlos Sotomayor, Manager of Food Safety for Seald Sweet. “After using ReposiTrak on the supplier side, we experienced that the system was accurate, efficient and the best choice.”
“Our best-in-class user experience is one of the main reasons that well-known global suppliers, such as Seald Sweet International, are choosing ReposiTrak to manage their own upstream supply chains,” said Randall K. Fields, Chairman and CEO of Park City Group. “Their commitment to food safety and supply chain transparency make us proud to have them utilize our system.”
ReposiTrak, a wholly owned subsidiary of Park City Group (NASDAQ:PCYG), helps manage regulatory, financial and brand risk associated with issues of safety in the global food, pharma and dietary supply chains. Powered by Park City Group’s technology, the platform consists of two systems: Compliance Management, which not only receives, stores and shares documentation, but also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing or expired documents; and Track & Trace, which quickly identifies product ingredients and their supply chain path in the unfortunate event of a product recall. It can reduce the risk in the supply chain by identifying backward chaining sources and forward chaining recipients of products in near real time.
