November 4, 2015 | Salt Lake City, Utah – ReposiTrak® Inc., the leading provider of Compliance Management and Track & Trace solutions for food, pharma and dietary supplement safety, announces that Dr. Hilary Thesmar, Vice President, Food Safety Programs for FMI, and Melanie Neumann, Executive Vice President of The Acheson Group, will lead two webinars that share key highlights of the three latest Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) rules, which were finalized on October 30th. These highlights include changes to the proposed Produce Safety Rule, the Foreign Supplier Verification Program and the Accreditation of Third Party Auditors.
On December 7 at 11am EST, Thesmar and Neumann will review the final Produce Safety Rule. The FDA anticipates this rule, which focuses on creating safeguards to help prevent contamination at farms, will standardize safety rules across the U.S. that currently vary by state. For example, use of agricultural water, farm worker hygiene, compost and sanitation conditions that affect buildings, equipment and tools will be standardized. Register here to learn what will be required.
On December 14 at 2 pm EST, the duo will again team up to present what trading partners need to know about the finalized Foreign Supplier Verification Program and Third Party Auditor Accreditation rules. Given the increased requirements for foreign suppliers and their significant presence in the U.S. food supply chain, this webinar is expected to draw a wide audience including retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers. Please register here.
“With the finalization of FSMA now well underway, we are working to share the latest FSMA updates on topics like imports, as they affect both retailers and suppliers in achieving compliance of their respective supply chains,” said Randy Fields, CEO of Park City Group. “Our webinars continue to receive rave reviews from our participants, and we are committed to help prepare the industry for FSMA compliance.”
