ReposiTrak's Romas Speaks to Alabama Association for Food Protection

News & Blog

November 25, 2014 | Salt Lake City, Utah – Christina Romas, Business Development Director for ReposiTrak, the leading provider of Compliance Management and Track & Trace solutions for food safety exclusively endorsed by FMI and ROFDA, addressed the Alabama Association for Food Protection during their annual meeting held in Prattville, Alabama.   Romas spoke to over one hundred regulators, academia, manufacturers, and retailers on the sweeping changes coming with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and how the ReposiTrak food safety solution can help manage compliance and reduce risk.
Powered by Park City Group’s technology, the ReposiTrak platform helps manage regulatory, financial and brand risk associated with issues of food safety in the global food supply chain.  The platform consists of two systems.  The Compliance Management system not only receives, stores, and shares documentation, but also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing or expired documents.  The Track & Trace system quickly identifies the supply chain path taken by a product in the unfortunate event of a product recall.  It can reduce the risk in the supply chain by identifying backward chaining sources and forward chaining recipients of products in near real time.
“We are pleased to offer thought leadership to food safety organizations such as Alabama’s chapter of the International Association of Food Protection,” said Randall K. Fields, chairman & CEO of Park City Group.  “With FSMA finalization beginning in August 2015, and legal responsibility falling to senior executives, both retailers and manufacturers need to understand the magnitude of the new regulations and prepare.”
