What is ReposiTrak?

ReposiTrak is a cloud-based solution that provides retailers, wholesalers and suppliers with a robust solution to help them protect their brands, reduce their risk and remain in compliance with FSMA regulations as well as manage good business practice documentation, such as indemnification and insurance documents.

Why am I being asked to enroll?

With the roll out of FSMA and to reduce their overall brand risk, your customers now bear much of the liability—even criminal prosecution—in the food supply chain. In short, your customers’ risk and obligations have changed enormously. If problems occur, they are not yours alone; your wholesale and retail customers are often litigated as well.  Therefore, they are now required to ensure that you are fulfilling obligations under FSMA as well as under your vendor agreement.

This is all about food safety, I’m NON FOOD; shouldn’t that exempt me from this program?

Although ReposiTrak’ original purpose was to address the compliance issues surrounding Food Safety and the FSMA regulations, it has evolved to cover ALL compliance documentation for wholesalers and retailers.  Your customer is requesting all vendors enroll and supply the required documentation.

What retailers and wholesalers are currently using ReposiTrak?

Combined sales of our wholesalers and retailers rivals the largest U.S. Grocer.  We’re also experiencing rapid expansion of existing ReposiTrak suppliers who are choosing to use ReposiTrak with their upstream supply chain.

What if I already have a digital-based system?

You may be using an alternative system to manage your records, but you will need to share a copy of your documentation with your customer on ReposiTrak as a requirement of doing business with them. The law now REQUIRES that your customer be able to produce documentation about their suppliers within 24 hours. It is simply too risky to rely on thousands of suppliers to provide those records if asked.

What are the consequences of not keeping documents updated?

Maintaining the documents and their most current versions is accepted good business practice.  Not keeping them updated puts your customers at risk and may be viewed as negligent. This can affect your business relationship with them and may lead to a termination of future business.

How much work is involved and how long will it take to enroll?

Enrollment is automated and takes just a few minutes to complete.  Once completed, you’ll be able to see the list of documents your customer is requiring and can gather and upload them.

Does ReposiTrak require specific document formats?

ReposiTrak can accept any format—word, PDF, JPEG, etc.  ReposiTrak’s Track & Trace system also requires no special codes in order to capture information and track product as it moves through the supply chain.

What is the difference between a Supplier and a Facility?

A supplier is the parent company that has a relationship with a customer for supplying product. A facility produces product on behalf of the supplier. A supplier may have one or more facilities that produce product. A facility may be part of the supplier’s corporation, or may be an independent facility contracted to produce goods for the supplier.

What does it mean, “Add a facility”?

Food safety audits are conducted at the facility-level.  To ensure your customer has appropriate facility-related audit results, information for that facility must be entered into your account profile.

What happens if I have more than one Facility that produces product?

If you have more than one facility, enter the information for each facility during the enrollment process.  Facility information can also be added at any time from within your ReposiTrak account.

What if my Facility is on a contract basis to me (it is not part of my company)?

The process is the same whether a facility is part of the supplier’s corporation, or is on a contract to produce goods on behalf of the supplier.

After I complete enrollment, how soon will I get a user account?

Your user account will be created immediately upon completion of enrollment.

I am an existing supplier with this customer; do I have to enroll right now?

Yes, your customer is requiring enrollment of all suppliers within 30 days.

I am a broker.  Am I responsible for enrolling?

No.  If your brokerage represents a vendor, please forward the enrollment request to the company you represent so that they may enroll directly with ReposiTrak.

Who is my ReposiTrak Administrator?

Your ReposiTrak administrator is a person within your company designated as the primary contact for your company.  If you do not know who this is, contact ReposiTrak Customer Support at support@repositrak.com.

How do I get an account for a new person at our company?

To add a new user to your ReposiTrak account, contact your company’s administrator.  If you are unsure who that is, contact ReposiTrak Customer Support at support@repositrak.com.

Where can I find user help or written documentation?  Is there a training video?

Within the ReposiTrak application there is a help link found at the top right of each screen.  A new tab or window will open within your browser to display detailed, searchable online help.

What if a required document does not apply to my business?

ReposiTrak helps with compliance but we do not decide what is or is not compliant. The system will communicate your concerns back to a qualified contact with your customer who will review your situation and accept or deny.

Will I need to invest in hardware or software?

No, ReposiTrak requires no hardware purchase or software installation.  It is a cloud-based solution that is accessible through the web.
