November 29, 2017 | Salt Lake City– Park City Group’s ReposiTrak, Inc., the leading provider of Compliance Management and Track & Trace solutions for the grocery and foodservice industries, announces today SmithFoods is adopting ReposiTrak’s Compliance Management System to manage their growing list of document requirements under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). SmithFoods is a provider of fresh, wholesome quality dairy and plant-based products for co-manufacturing, foodservice and private label opportunities, and also sells products under its SMITH’S, Ruggles, Artisa and Ajoyo brands. The company operates facilities in Orrville, Ohio; Richmond, Indiana and Pacific, Missouri, and is a member of the national Quality Chekd (QCS) organization, a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative that delivers purchasing solutions through aggregate buying power. SmithFoods is the sixth QCS member to adopt ReposiTrak’s Compliance Management System.
“We had been looking for an automated system to centralize and better manage our approved supplier documentation to comply with FSMA’s Preventive Controls,” said Karl Kelbly, Vice President of Quality, Regulatory and EH&S for SmithFoods. “With more and more QCS members choosing to use ReposiTrak, it just made sense for us to utilize the same system for both our suppliers and customers.”
“We’re excited to see the continued adoption of ReposiTrak by the members of QCS,” said Randall K. Fields, Chairman and CEO of Park City Group. “We appreciate SmithFoods’ commitment to transparency and are proud to have them utilize our system.”
ReposiTrak, a wholly owned subsidiary of Park City Group (NASDAQ:PCYG), helps manage regulatory, financial and brand risk associated with issues of safety in the supply chain. Powered by Park City Group’s technology, the platform consists of two systems: Compliance Management, which not only receives, stores and shares documentation, but also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing or expired documents; and Track & Trace, which quickly identifies product ingredients and their supply chain path in the unfortunate event of a product recall. It can reduce the risk in the supply chain by identifying backward chaining sources and forward chaining recipients of products in near real time.
